Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Shaun Wan started his dance career in Indianapolis, Indiana in the U.S. Trained under Kyle Culmann, founder of Latin Expression Dance Company in Indianapolis, he quickly rose through the ranks and eventually started teaching beginner level Salsa & Bachata in just under 2 years. From his travels to major cities for dance such as New York, Cincinnati, Miami, Orlando and Chicago, he quickly developed his own personal style of Bachata and Salsa which is heavily influenced by his 4 years of competing and dancing Hip Hop. He is well versed in Dominican, Salsa On1, Salsa On2, Urban and Sensual Bachata.
