Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys begin with an opportunity you simply can’t pass up. For Fiona, that opportunity came in 2005, when she co-founded Talent Hub with her childhood dance partner, turning a shared passion for the arts into something much bigger than either of them could have imagined.

Talent Hub began with a simple yet exciting vision: to create a multi-arts centre where children could explore their creativity and discover new interests under one roof. The idea was to offer parents a convenient, one-stop destination where their little ones could learn dance, music, drama and even martial arts, all within a welcoming and nurturing environment.

 

Over the next two decades, Talent Hub evolved organically, growing and adapting alongside the needs of its community. What began as a centre catering primarily to children has gradually transformed into a dance studio serving predominantly adult clientele. Yet, through all the changes, one thing has remained at its heart: the belief that dance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience or ability.

 

For Fiona, creating a safe and welcoming space where beginners could learn without feeling intimidated or pressured has always been a priority. She believes that learning to dance should be an enjoyable journey, one where people can move at their own pace, build confidence and discover the joy of movement in an environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. This philosophy continues to shape the spirit of Talent Hub today.

 

Throughout her years in the arts industry, Fiona wore many hats. Beyond teaching dance classes and managing the day-to-day operations of the studio, she also worked as a choreographer and consultant for various corporate companies and events, bringing creativity, movement and artistic direction to a diverse range of projects. From 2011 to 2016, she was also honoured to serve on the panel of judges for the prestigious Kakiseni BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, recognising and celebrating excellence in the performing arts.

 

Today, Fiona has hung up her dancing shoes and stepped into a different season of life. While she continues to support Talent Hub behind the scenes, much of her time is now devoted to raising her little human, a role that brings its own unique adventures, challenges and rewards.
